You can place as many Sonos speakers in any parts of your house, then using the Sonos Controller app (available on android and iOS) you are able to control or select that specific speaker on your smartphone, tablet, PC or laptop to be able to play your streaming service or binge your favorite episodes. The app recognizes which speaker you’re using, and in which room you’re using it. It’s really simple and adding other Sonos speakers to be used in your device is a breeze.
Sometimes your Sonos speaker will affect its sound if placed in some uncertain areas, but with Sonos Trueplay feature available on iOS only and within the Connect app with the microphone of the iPhone or iPad it will measure the response of the speaker in your room and tweaking its sound quality to suit better performance.
Sonos Voice Control lets you control your music via Amazon’s Alexa, you can tell Alexa what to play and where to play it. Music services currently supported by Alexa are: Amazon Music, Spotify, TuneIn Radio, Deezer, Pandora (Not available in the UK, Canada, or Australia), iHeartRadio (Not available in the UK or Canada) and SiriusXM (Not available in the UK, Canada, or Australia). Soon it will also be supporting Apple’s Siri and Google Assistant. With and Alexa-enabled Sonos speaker and an Amazon Fire TV (sold separately), you can now use Alexa to control your Fire TV with just your voice.
