Unboxing
You’ll be immediately drawn to the appealing bionic mecha design graphics printed on the bright yellow-orange box of the Nubia Neo 2 5G.
The packaging box is made of durable thick cardboard type material in a matte finish.
Upon opening the box, the first thing you’ll see is a cardboard box compartment containing a few included accessories. Beneath that, you’ll find the Nubia Neo 2 5G unit. Removing the device from the box reveals two additional boxes for the other accessories.

The phone comes with a regular screen protector already pre-applied.
Design
For the Nubia Neo 2 5G we got the Storm Gray color variant. The brand describes this color way as a “Futuristic deep gray symbolizing technology’s resilience and stability, reflects confidence and determination for the future.”
There’s no doubt that the durable polycarbonate plastic back panel of the Nubia Neo 2 5G is definitely attractive and will surely entice gamers of the pleasing Bionic Mecha design.
The futuristic concept design is encased in glossy plastic material to add a premium feel. While it does prone to attract fingerprints, the Bionic Mecha design helps to hide the smudges to some extent. Users can make use with the included protective case to prevent fingerprint smudges and extra added protection.
When the design of the back panel is exposed to light while you tilt it sideways, the Biomimetic Eye and Biomorphic Breathing design produce a nice 3D effect.
The camera housing also receives a unique design upgrade. Its previous model featured two circular camera modules while the new Nubia Neo 2 5G showcases twin octagonal camera modules that protrude slightly.
At the bottom right, you’ll find a Nubia logo and certification marks.
The frame is made of metal with rounded corners contributes for a more comfortable grip and durability of the phone.
The volume rockers are now on the left side edge, which is often found on the right side, along with the SIM card tray. The company probably placed it on the left to help prevent accidental presses when holding the phone or maybe to give way for the triggers.
On the right side of the device is a red power button which also doubles as a fingerprint reader.
Found near the corner edges are marked left and right arrows are upgraded shoulder triggers that can be used and customized the controls of your games.
All the way at the bottom of the phone are the microphone, speaker grille, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
The top edge simply features another secondary microphone and nothing else.
Display
The Nubia Neo 2 5G has a large 6.72-inch Full HD+ display with a maximum 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels.
It uses an IPS panel that can provide sharp and vibrant images from all angles of the screen.

Onboard chipsets on this phone is equipped with a Unisoc T820 octa-core processor, 8GB RAM, and 256GB for the internal storage
