Review: vivo Y12s – Features, Sample Photos+Videos, Price

vivo just recently launched its latest affordable mid-range smartphone the vivo Y12s priced at PHP6,499 only, sporting a new design and nice upgraded features that’s good value for money.

The vivo Y12s is available at any vivo stores nationwide and official vivo online stores on Shopee and Lazada.

We have the new vivo Y12s for almost a few days already, so let’s find out what the vivo Y12s has to offer.

Opening the box, you get the following contents the vivo Y12s unit, SIM Card Ejector Tool, Micro USB to USB Cable, USB Power Adapter, Documentation, Protective Film (Applied on the display) and a Clear Protective Jelly Case.

Materials used for the vivo Y12s are composed of a polycarbonate plastic body and metal for its frame. We love the simplicity design of the phone, it doesn’t look cheap it’s elegant, shiny and gives users a nice grip for a better handling.

On the front, this affordable mid-range phone is equipped with a large 6.51-inch HD+ Halo FullView display with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels. It has a waterdrop notch for the front camera on the top of the display. The receiver and ambient light and proximity sensor (hidden hole) are also located there as well. The bezels surrounding the display are super thin except for the bottom on the display.

On the back you have the AI Dual Camera and rear flash located on the top left then a vivo logo is placed at the bottom. For our review we have the Glacier Blue color that when you move the phone from any angle emits a subtle rainbow color hue effect over the pale blue surface back cover.

Located on the left holds the SIM card tray and the pin port, while on its right side holds the volume button and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor together with the power button.

Lastly, at the bottom you have the speakers, Micro USB charging port, 3.5 mm earphone port for your headset and microphone.

It can capture videos on both rear and front camera with available resolution of 1080p, 720p and 480p. The focus may sometimes tend to be a little bit challenging but we advise you to either use a tripod or steady your hands as it does not have any stabilization feature.

There is no wide-angle lens and dedicated night mode on the camera of the vivo Y12s.
