Let’s take a look at what the realme C53 has to offer.
Unboxing
As we’ve expected, the packaging of the realme C53 comes in their signature bright yellow box made of thick cardboard-type material.
The design of the box is very simple it has no image of the phone. You’ll have a few printed elements like a realme logo, the model name of the phone, regulatory information, IMEI, key features, and key specs.
As soon as you slide to open the box, it will have a compartment box that contains some of the included accessories. Then underneath it, you will have the phone, and at the bottom is a power brick and charging cable.
Taking everything out of the box you have the following contents:
- realme C53 unit
- SIM Ejector Tool
- Clear Protective Case
- USB-A to USB-C Cable
- 33W SuperVOOC Charging Adapter
- Warranty Card

Design
The color we got for our realme C53 review unit is the Mighty Black.
It has a flat frame design with the Mighty Black color having a smooth matte finish to help reduce glare and fingerprint smudges. It is made of durable polycarbonate plastic material and it also shows off a slight shimmer effect when you tilt it sideways.
So far, the built quality is quite durable and the thickness of this phone is only 7.49mm which offers a very slim form factor.
All three camera lenses on the back have large rings and are exactly the same. However, it only has a dual camera setup with the flash forming the third “lens.”
These large camera rings are housed in a squared camera bump that slightly protrudes with a glass-type surface located on the top left corner.
You’ll spot a realme logo at the bottom left.
On the left side, there is only the SIM tray that can hold two nano SIM cards and a microSD card. It’s nice that the realme C53 offers a dedicated card slot as you don’t need to give up anything. However, the SIM tray does not have a rubber gasket for water resistance.
On the right side is a power/sleep button with an embedded fingerprint scanner, and above it is a volume rocker.
Found at the bottom, you have a microphone, speaker grille, USB-C port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The top edge is smooth and clean nothing is placed there.
Bezels all around the screen are thin except for the bottom chin which is a bit raised. The front camera is housed in a waterdrop notch with the receiver just above it.
Display
For the realme C53, we do get a large 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate to scroll and switch between apps smoothly and quickly.
The screen also has a resolution of 720×1600 pixels.
Hardware and Software
The realme C53 is powered by a Unisoc T612 octa-core processor, 6GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage.
The phone ships with Android 13 skinned with the realme UI T Edition.
realme will be bringing in its cool and innovative invention with its mini capsule feature on the realme C53 that sits right at the top of the display. The mini capsule is like a dynamic island-like function which extends a pill-shaped bar to display the phone’s charging status, data consumption or show you your step count.
One of the main highlights of the phone, it is all juiced up by a 5,000mAh battery that supports up to 33W SuperVOOC fast charging.
realme claims that the phone can be charged up to 50% in 31 minutes, and to 100% in just 88 minutes.
Camera
The rear camera on the realme C53 has a dual camera system that includes a 50MP main camera and a 0.8MP portrait sensor. While in the front camera, you get an 8MP for your selfies.
