HONOR Philippines will be completing its X series line-up this month with the release of the new HONOR X7b.
The HONOR X7b is equipped with a set of key features from a modern stylish design, exceptional hardware specs, a large ultra-bright display, superior photography capabilities, and long-lasting battery life.
The HONOR X7b is priced at PHP8,999 now available nationwide in all HONOR Experience Stores and its official e-commerce partners on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok. You can also avail early bird freebies from HONOR worth PHP1,999 when you buy from March 9 to 17, 2024.
Now, let’s take a first look at some features of the new HONOR X7b that we’ll be sharing as we finalize our full review which is scheduled to be published later this week.
Unboxing
Checking the box of the new HONOR X7b, one will immediately notice its packaging design which follows the minimalist design approach of its other models. Its overall packaging is encased in an all-white matte box that uses a thick cardboard type material.
The choice of materials also reflects HONOR’s commitment to sustainability while safeguarding the device during transportation.
You’ll spot a large image of the HONOR X7b unit printed on the top cover and a HONOR logo that you can easily spot on every corner of the box. A sticker is also placed on one side of the box with the IMEI, company info, certification marks, and a few specs about the unit printed on it.
Upon lifitng the top cover of the box, the HONOR X7b is the first thing that will greet you. Once you remove the phone, underneath it reveals a compartment box that holds some of the included accessories.
Taking everything out of the box, you’ll receive the following items:

Design
With three available colorways for the HONOR X7b, we got the Flowing Silver color variant for our review unit which sports a striking and appealing design.
The back has a glasstic panel that’s essentially made of durable polycarbonate plastic but designed to give a glass-like feeling. It gives more durability to the phone than using an actual glass which is more likely to break.
Mostly, you’ll see the back panel appears in sky blue, but when tilted sideways under direct light, the phone reveals an attractive gradient rainbow of colors across the spectrum.
Aside from the mesmerizing eye-candy look, another prominent aesthetics you can spot inside the cover panel features an array of silky water effects with shimmering glitters. It adds an extra layer of sophistication and intricate details to the phone, while showcasing the elegant craftsmanship in full brilliance.
It features a dual circular camera module of the same size that houses the three camera lenses and LED light arranged vertically that’s positioned at the top left corner.
At the bottom left, you’ll have an HONOR logo while certification marks printed on the opposite side.
Still at the back, you’ll notice the smooth 63-degree Quad-curved design of the back panel’s edges and rounded corners that just feels nicer when you hold the phone.
The frame of the HONOR X7b boasts an aluminum construction with a metallic finish, improving its premium appeal.
The bottom edge holds the USB-C port, a single microphone, speaker grille, and a 3.5mm audio jack as connectivity options for your wired headphones or external speakers.
Meanwhile, located on the top edge are two microphones.
Volume controls and power/sleep button is placed on the right edge. The power button also functions as the fingerprint scanner for easy access to unlock your device with just a touch of your finger. Both buttons are made of sturdy polycarbonate plastic material with the same color of its frame.
On the left edge, you’ll find the SIM card tray that can accommodate up to two nano SIM cards or one nano SIM card and one microSD card for storage expansion up to 1TB.
On the front, the size of the display measures at 6.8-inches with thin bezels from both sides and the top. However, the bottom chin is slightly raised, but it won’t affect your viewing experience on the screen.
The front facing camera has a punch hole notch design found at the center and just above it you may notice a small opening for the additional speaker to enhance a clear audio output.
108MP Triple Camera Setup
The HONOR X7b is equipped with a triple camera setup with a 108MP for the main camera; 5MP ultra-wide for a wider field of view and capture great looking landscapes, and a 2MP macro lens for close-up photography.

Massive Battery Life
One highlight of the HONOR X7b is its massive 6,000 mAh battery capacity, it’s a perfect choice for users who are looking for more prolonged usage without the hassle of frequent recharging the phone.
HONOR claims that the battery of the phone can support various activities for up to 3 days on a single charge.
With this big sized battery, it works very well for heavy users and mobile gamers to stay connected and entertained throughout the day.
Enhanced and Boosted Sound Quality
To improve the overall audio experience, the new HONOR X7b now integrates dual stereo speakers for better sound quality and clearer vocal dialogue.
The volume control is also boosted now reaching up to 200% from its default maximum level, which is convenient for users during calls or in noisy environments ensuring audio clarity.
