Today is day 3! We visited the Mister Donut Greenhills store, one of the country’s oldest branches, as it closes its doors on January 31, 2024, marking the beginning of a renovation and redevelopment phase by property developer Ortigas & Company at Greenhills Shopping Mall.
For 42 years, this beloved Mister Donut Greenhills branch has delighted customers with its delicious donuts, baked goods, and beverages.
Meggie Jose, Marketing and Key Accounts Director at Mister Donut, who has been with the company for almost 10 years, shares that the Mister Donut Greenhills Mall branch used to serve as the head office and production hub for its other stores. However, Mister Donut now operates 20 large production plants across the Philippines, servicing all its retail stores and institutional accounts such as gas stations, 7-Eleven, Shell, and more.

Loyal customers flocked to the Mister Donut branch to reminisce about old memories. But, despite the impending closure, the branch continues to welcome walk-in customers who still want to taste the delectable array of donuts, baked goods, rice meals, and beverages it offers.
“First of all, we’d like to thank our customers di naman kame tatagal ng for over 40 years if hinde kami nila sinasamahan. Yung samahan na yun priceless for us kase talagang tinangkilik nila ang Mister Donut kaya maraming maraming salamat po sa inyong pakikisama sa amin, pakikiisa sa mga pinagdaanan whether it will be your ups or downs in your lives dito niyo po pinupuntahan ang Mister Donut para maging constant companion kami sa inyo,” Jose added.
We were able to taste their delectable array of baked goods, rice meals, beverages, sandwiches, and their famous donut. Additionally, we also tried their signature donut from Japan, the Pon De Ring, which is made of a connected circle of 8 dough balls. It’s definitely a must-try!”
Jose also expresses her sincere gratitude to its valued customers, emphasizing that this closure marks not the end, but a transition. Mister Donut will continue to be accessible in other key locations across the country. “We also like to thank the Greenhills Mall management kase nabigyan kami ng opportunity to be of service to our customers. One big thank you to everybody, this is not the end kasi may branches pa kami all across the country, convenient stores, gas stations makikita niyo kami doon. Special lang itong Greenhills Mall branch kasi talagang apat na dekada, yung strength ng brand makikita mo talaga dito kahit ano yung pinagdaanan namin nandito pa rin kami para sa mga customers. Kaya maraming maraming salamat talaga!”
On the final day of the store’s operation, Ms. Meggie Jose shared to us the activities scheduled for that day. At 6:30 am, in the Greenhills Mall parking lot, a Zumba class will commence, followed by breakfast served by Mister Donut to the participants.
The store will maintain its regular operating hours from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm to accommodate its customers who wish to dine in or purchase their products.
Finally at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, the store will begin its closing procedures by hosting a fellowship night with its loyal customers to express gratitude for their 40 years of patronage. The evening will end in a symbolic closure as the store’s key is handed over to the Greenhills Mall management.
Worry not, as the taste of Mister Donut lives on with over 2000 shops and outlets across the country, including continuing tie-ups with 7-Eleven, gas stations, and other partner stores. The brand ensures that its loyal cuatomers can still savor their favorite treats elsewhere.
