Transcend introduces JetDrive 855/850 PCIe NVMe SSD Upgrade Kit for Mac Computers

The JetDrive 850 features read and write speeds of up to 1,600MB/s and 1,300MB/s, and is made of the latest 3D NAND flash. Transcend’s JetDrive 855 features as its storage media the JetDrive 850 PCIe NVMe SSD. Utilizing a 10Gb/s Thunderbolt interface, the drive boasts blazing-fast transfers. The JetDrive 855 is housed in a sleek, aluminum alloy enclosure designed to tastefully complement the Mac’s simple, clean design. In addition, the SSD inside can be removed, making it even more adaptable to user preferences.

Monitoring SSD Health with Exclusive JetDrive Toolbox

Transcend’s exclusive JetDrive Toolbox, a free download from the Transcend website, is a software kit tailor-made for Transcend’s Apple Solutions. JetDrive Toolbox helps users to maintain a healthy SSD by keeping it up-to-date, preventing functional degradation, and predicting problems before they occur. Easy to use, the Toolbox includes Drive Information, Health Indicator, and Firmware Update functions.
