Following a successful World Premiere at Cannes Marche Du Film earlier this year, The Trigonal is now poised to become the Philippines’ first true martial arts action drama in the new millenia now showing to theaters nationwide. Directed and written by Vincent Soberano it stars Monsour Del Rosario, Rhian Ramos, Ian Ignacio, Epy Quizon, Christian Vasquez . and Sarah Chang
So, what makes The Trigonal so different from the other pinoy action films?
According to Soberano, it is a film that fits a very specific style and genre of action filmmaking – martial arts action drama. There are no pretenses here.
It is epic and spectacular, showcasing a plethora of martial arts systems, boasting of never-before-seen fight, choreography and cinematography and featuring unique exotic locations for the first time in film. And on top of that, it is a drama and love story, and a bit of comedy as well. It is the story that inspires the action and makes the characters unforgettable and inspiring.
There is a must watch, never before seen finale fight scene. “It’s epic,” fight director Sarah Chang says.
