Alongside the recently launched TechLife Pad Plus 12”, TechLife Philippines also introduced a fresh addition to its growing wearables lineup, the TechLife Smart Watch P1. With the release of this new device, the brand is clearly stepping up its game in the smartwatch category, offering more features and style at an accessible price point.
We got our hands on the TechLife Smart Watch P1, and at just PHP 2,999 we feel that it’s already looking like a solid contender in the budget smartwatch category. It stands out not just for its affordability, but also for the surprisingly great set of features packed into its sleek build.
So, here’s what we know about the TechLife Smart Watch P1.

Unboxing
The design and material used for the TechLife Smart Watch P1’s packaging keeps things very simple and clean. It comes in an all-white box made of thick cardboard with an image of the watch, the TechLife logo, and key features printed around the box that gives users a good preview of what to expect. At the back, you’ll find additional product information.
Upon opening the box, the smartwatch is the first thing you’ll see, neatly protected by a foam cover. Lifting it reveals the rest of the accessories organized in their respective box compartments.

Inside the box, you’ll get:
- TechLife Smart Watch P1 unit
- Straps (pre-attached to the lugs)
- User Manual
- Magnetic Charging Dock

Design and Display
At first glance, the TechLife Smart Watch P1 already looks and feels more expensive than it actually is. Even some of my friends initially thought it was an analog or mechanical watch, only to realize up close when they see it that it’s actually a smartwatch.
The body frame, lugs and bezels are made of zinc alloy with a polished silver metal finish that gives it a premium and rugged aesthetic. Zinc alloy also adds a good amount of durability with protection from rust and damage from moisture.
The bezels has a compass dial design with markings on it enhancing the overall look of the smartwatch.

The TechLife Smart Watch P1 comes in two color variants in Black and our review unit in Green. The color options are primarily based on the strap, which is made of silicone material. It also features a white stitching that serves purely as a decorative element for added visual appeal. Thanks to the quick-release spring bars on each strap, you can easily detach it and swap them out for other strap design to match your style.

On the right side, you have a crown dial to access all your apps and another button dedicated for the workout mode.
Looking at the materials, the strap color, and the compass dial design, the TechLife Smart Watch P1 gives off a military-inspired look.
At the bottom, the light sensors and magnetic charging contacts are encased in a glass-like material.

It sports a 1.43-inch AMOLED touch screen display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels and up to 500 nits of brightness. The screen is bright, sharp, and vibrant which is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Swiping and tapping on the screen feels smooth and responsive.
It even supports Always-On Display (AOD) letting you see the time for quick checks without having to wake up your watch and draining much of its battery.
You have four built-in watch faces right out of the box, and through the OnWear Pro app, you can access over 100 additional watch face designs, including animated options and custom photo watch faces.
With the 5ATM and IP68 ratings, the smart watch is ready to withstand everyday wear from workouts, rainy days, and even pool swims to a depth of 50 meters for up to 10 minutes. Just a reminder, don’t take it in your diving activities or into a sauna.

Features That Stand Out
One of the key highlights we noticed immediately is the built-in GPS feature that supports multiple satellite systems from a GPS, BDS, GLONASS, and Galileo. It’s a big deal for runners, cyclists, and anyone who likes to accurately track their distance, pace, and routes without needing to bring their phone along.

It has Bluetooth calling! Yes, you read that right! At this price range the smart watch can make and take calls directly from your wrist. The watch has its own mic and speaker setup, lets you sync with your contacts, and even works with third-party apps.

Another thing that caught our attention is the voice assistant feature using a ChatGPT AI support. You can install ChatGPT via the OnWear Pro app, and as long as it’s running on your phone, you can ask questions directly from your watch and get text-based replies.

The watch ensures you don’t miss important updates, even when your phone is out of reach, by keeping you in the loop with real-time message and app notifications.

Health Monitoring & Fitness Tracking
The watch offers comprehensive health monitoring for keeping track of your overall wellness and well informed of your everyday health. It includes the following:
- Heart Rate
- SpO2 (Blood Oxygen)
- Sleep
- Stress
- Female Health (Menstrual Tracking)
- One-Click Measurement (It will measures your heart rate, blood oxygen and stress levels with one click)

The TechLife Smart Watch P1 also doubles as a fitness tracker and offers over 110 workout modes to suit your routine. Whether you’re into outdoor running, swimming, mountaineering, yoga, and more, the watch lets you track important metrics like heart rate, steps, calories, time, and pace with ease.
OS and Connectivity
For connectivity, the smartwatch has a Bluetooth 5.2 for a stable and fast connection, and it’s compatible with both Android 6.0+ and iOS 12.0+ which can easily pair with the latest smartphones to date.

Battery Life
TechLife claims up to 5 days of battery life, and so far in our initial use, it’s looking promising. We were able to use it for 6 days if we don’t use the workout modes consistently during our everyday walk exercises in the afternoon. But, for a watch with an AMOLED screen and Bluetooth calling, that’s still pretty good.
When it comes to charging, we timed a full recharge cycle and use the included magnetic charging cable, here’s what we observed:
- 09:45 to 10:00 – 8% in 15 minutes
- 10:00 to 10:15 – 17% in another 15 minutes
- 10:15 to 10:45 – 33% after 30 minutes (1 hour total)
- 10:45 to 11:00 – 48% after another 15 minutes
- 11:00 to 11:30 – 74% in 30 minutes
- 11:30 to 11:50 – 88% after 20 minutes (1 hour and 5 minutes)
- 11:50 to 12:07 – Fully charged to 100% in the final 17 minutes
We got a total charging time of 2 hours and 22 minutes.

From its premium design and AMOLED display, to its built-in GPS, Bluetooth calling, and health tracking features, it’s offering the kind of experience you’d expect from a much more expensive smartwatch.
Using the TechLife Smart Watch P1 feels smooth and easy. The touchscreen is responsive, you can switch up the look with customizable watch faces, and everything connects seamlessly through the OnWear Pro app. Whether we are tracking our workouts in the afternoons, getting notifications, or answering calls right from your wrist, the experience is simple and reliable.
Wearing the TechLife Smart Watch P1, we can’t help but notice how much it stands out from its military-inspired design down to the polished silver metal finish. The green strap adds a nice touch, complementing the rugged-yet-premium look. We’re also excited to try out different strap styles or colors to switch things up and match our daily outfits.
At just PHP 2,999, the TechLife Smart Watch P1 is great choice for anyone looking to upgrade their wrist game without breaking the bank.
