SBMA, InterCommerce, and MYEG PH Signs a Tripartite Agreement for the Acceptance of Online Payment on the Electronic Billing and Payment System (eBPS)

SBMA, InterCommerce, and MYEG PH Signs a Tripartite Agreement for the Acceptance of Online Payment on the Electronic Billing and Payment System (eBPS)

A tripartite Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed for the acceptance and processing of online payment in SBMA’s Electronic Billing and Payment System (eBPS) last July 14, 2022, at the SBMA Conference Room, Waterfront Drive Subic Bay Freeport Zone by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA)InterCommerce Network Services, Inc. (InterCommerce), and MYEG Philippines (MYEG PH), a market leader in electronic solutions championing government services online automation both in the Philippines and in Malaysia and a leading e-payment processing provider with 90,000 payment channels nationwide.

The Electronic Billing and Payment System (eBPS) is SBMA’s solution to the growing payment transactions as it allow locators and residents to pay their billing statements online anytime, anywhere. The system is SBMA’s innovation to improve service to locators and residents.

The tripartite agreement was signed by SBMA Chairman and Administrator, Mr. Rolen Paulino; InterCommerce President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Francis Norman Lopez; and MyEG Philippines Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Ann Margaret Saldaña.

Currently, Subic freeport business locators, concessionaires, and residents pay their fees and transactions manually by going to the SBMA office cashier counters. Through this partnership and just by registering and logging in at SBMA’s Electronic Billing & Payment System (eBPS) at https://ebps.intercommerce.com.ph/SBMA, they will be able to perform and pay transactions online, faster, easier, and more convenient as they will have access to several payment options from E-Wallets (GCash, Maya, ShopeePay, and GrabPay), Online Bank Transfer from various banks such as BPI, BDO, UnionBank, RCBC, and Maybank, and Credit/Debit Card, while making cash payment still available from any branches of 7-Eleven, Cebuana Lhuillier, Palawan Express, Bayad Center, SM Malls, Robinsons Department Store, Tambunting Pawnshop, RD Pawnshop, USSC, Posible, DA5, and many others nationwide.

“Because of the restrictions brought by the pandemic, business locators, concessionaires, and residents of SBMA has been looking for more options and ways to pay for their fees and dues. Add to that, the agency also has to fulfill its obligations with the Ease of Doing Business Act, at the same time, with the requirements of the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) for opening digital payment services. That is why we are grateful for this partnership with InterCommerce and MYEG Philippines automating our payment collections and also providing citizens a variety of payment options to settle their accounts and do it at their preferred convenience,” says SBMA Chairman and Administrator, Mr. Rolen Paulino.

“The Electronic Billing and Payment System (eBPS) allows for a more convenient way for businesses and residents to facilitate payments at the convenience of their own homes or offices, giving them access to more payment options with our partnership with MyEG. From the pandemic and now gas prices going up, we have more options to do our transactions in just a few clicks away,” says InterCommerce President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Francis Norman Lopez

“MyEG has been in full support with the government even before and particularly during the pandemic through our projects automating government services. This year, we are more than honored to partner with InterCommerce and SBMA in providing a safer, faster, and more convenient way for business locators, concessionaires, and residents to process and pay their SBMA fees. We are confident that with our years of proven experience working with government units, we’ll be able to make it easier for SBMA to accept and process multiple payments to the 90,000 payment channels we have while giving the citizens a seamless online transaction experience through eBPS,” said MYEG Philippines Chief Executive Officer Ann Margaret Saldaña.
