
San Jose Green Energy Corporation (SJGEC), a subsidiary of PetroGreen Energy Corporation (PGEC), successfully held a solar panel installation training and workshop for interested residents of Barangay Sto. Niño 3rd, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija on August 5, 2024. The activity was organized in collaboration with the Brgy. Council of Sto. Nino 3rd, the local government unit (LGU) of San Jose City, and SJGEC’s contractors Schema Konsult and TrinaSolar. The training was designed to equip participants with the basic knowledge and practical skills on solar panel installation, which will help them gain employment in the development and construction of SJGEC’s 19.6 MW Solar Power Project in San Jose, Nueva Ecija.
Maria Victoria M. Olivar, Vice President for Commercial Operations & Business Development of SJGEC, thanked and addressed the participants, stressing the company’s commitment to enhance the province’s energy supply and addressing the pressing challenges of climate change, while contributing to the creation of green jobs and opportunities within the San Jose community.
Speaking for the host LGU, Hon. Wilfredo Escudero, Barangay Captain of Sto. Niño 3rd Barangay expressed his belief that the training would significantly contribute to local skills development.
The initiative reflects the broader mission of PetroGreen Energy Corporation (PGEC) and its subsidiaries, who, as service contractors of the Department of Energy (DOE), are dedicated to meeting the nation’s energy needs and uplifting communities through employment and livelihood opportunities.
