Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO) finally unveiled its latest flagship smartphone the Galaxy Note9 held last August 14 at the Marriot Grand Ballroom. Together with media personalities, Samsung’s dealers and partners had the chance to take a closer look and try the newest smartphone the tech giant is now offering this year.
Taking the lead for the presentation are Jerry Manus, Business Unit Head for IT & Mobile while the product demonstrations are Patricia Lee, Category Head for Flagship Smartphones and Ellie Huang Product Marketing Manager for Note Series. SEPCO’s President and CEO Kevin Lee gave his closing remarks and mentioning that Samsung is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, what better way to celebrate this momentous event with the launch of the Galaxy Note9.
Here are some noteworthy features on the new Galaxy Note9:
Connected S Pen
Samsung gave enhancements to its famous S Pen by adding Bluetooth capabilities to it. You can now wirelessly control the Note9 within a 10-meter radius allowing you to take photos, browse through photos and content and active other applications with just a few clicks. It only requires 40 seconds to charge the S Pen and lasts around 200 clicks or 30 minutes of usage.
More Battery. Better Performance.
The Note9 now has a built-in 4,000 mAh battery which can last till the whole day allowing you to accomplish more. As for the performance the device has a 10 nanometer 64-bit Octa-Core processor around 2.8GHz + 1.7GHz of speed. Storage is at 128GB for the base unit and a pre-order exclusive of 512GB storage with expandable memory of up to 512GB. Memory for the 128GB model is at 6GB while the 512GB has an 8GB memory.
Stereo speakers are now tuned by AKG and powered by Dolby Atmos for a superb and surround experience perfect for entertainment on-the-go.
Intelligent Dual Camera
The device can capture great looking low-light photos with its F1.5 and F2.4 lens. Rear dual camera has a Wide Angle Super Speed Dual Pixel 12MP AF sensor and a Telephoto at 12M with Dual Optical Image Stabilization. The Front Camera has an 8MP AF Sensor with a F1.7 aperture plus selfie focus and wide selfie features.
Other features are Auto Scene Recognition that detects up to 20 unique scenes and automatically optimizes the photo depending on the conditions or subject being taken. Super-Slow Mo which captures 960 frames per second video that is four times slower than the normal slow motion. It also has a Disney AR Emoji which you can bring messages to life with some of your favorite Disney characters that follows your unique facial expressions.

The Samsung Galaxy Not9 is the biggest screen among the other company’s range of smartphones, it has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display with an elegant sleek square design, diamond cuts at the edges. Note9 Ambassadors
Along with unveiling a new super powerful smartphone, they also introduced their newest brand ambassadors for the Samsung Galaxy Note9 they are: celebrity actress Heart Evangelista-Escudero; social media star and businessman Nico Bolzico; and celebrity chef, content creator and restaurateur Erwan Heusaff.
