Review: Tribit FlyBuds C1 True Wireless Earbuds

We have a new product review courtesy of our good friends from Digital Walker the leading tech curator with the latest consumer electronic devices.

We will be checking the latest Tribit FlyBuds C1 True Wireless Earbuds that boasts of a powerful Qualcomm Bluetooth chip, aptX codec support, long battery life and more. This might be a perfect device for any audio enthusiasts out there.

The Tribit FlyBuds C1 True Wireless Earbuds is now available for only PHP3,499 at all Digital Walker stores, website and e-commerce stores on Shopee or Lazada.

So, let’s dive in on what this amazing product has to offer.

What’s In The Box

The overall packaging of the device gets a simple and stylish design with that bright orange infused in some parts of it.

Inside the box you get the following: FlyBuds C1 Earbuds, Charging Case, USB Type-C Cable, Manual, and five pairs of eartips with different sizes.

Build Quality and Design

The charging case design resembles a tall capsule like design with a squarish form having a rounded sides on its edges. With the earbuds inside, it weighs only at 50 grams making it lightweight, portable and comfortable to hold.

It is made of durable silicone-coated ABS plastic material and gets a nice matte black finish making it less prone for fingerprint smudges.

On the front you have four LED indicator lights and a button used to pair or connect the earbuds to another device. Located at the bottom is the USB Type-C charging port.

The cover lid has a magnetic on it preventing the case from opening plus inside you get a much stronger magnet for the earbuds to be mostly secure. I tried shaking the case even with the cover lid is open as the earbuds didn’t fly out from the case.

As for the earbuds, the FlyBuds C1 gets a stem-style earphone made of durable plastic material. In general, the earbuds get a glossy black finish but added a little touch of bright red color on the back of the in-ear. You can also find the LED indicator after it.

The earbuds of the FlyBuds C1 doesn’t have any touch control features but rather the company opted to put a small physical button located on each stem. These small buttons when pressed are highly sensitive which offers full-featured controls such as volume control, voice assistant, play/pause, go to the next/previous track as well as turning on/off the earbuds. You also get two microphones on each earbud.

The FlyBuds C1 is suitable for use on outdoors, workouts or sports because of its waterproof rating of IPX5 so sweat will not be a problem.

Connectivity and Controls

Connection on the FlyBuds C1 is stable using Qualcomm’s QCC3040 chip with Bluetooth 5.2 version and it has support for mono mode in case you want to use one earbud at a time only. Bluetooth codecs supported on the earbuds uses an SBC, AAC, and aptX which gets a slightly better latency and good audio quality.

Pairing the earbuds to any device is simple and easy but you need the charging case to do the connection. Once you open the cover lid of the charging case and the earbuds will automatically enter the Bluetooth pairing mode.

To connect the earbuds to another device, you must first disconnect the currently connected Bluetooth device, it will begin to automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. You can also put back the earbuds to the charging case, keeping the cover lid open, press and hold the button on the charging case for 5 seconds. The indicator lights will begin to flash three times simultaneously then it will enter Bluetooth pairing mode.

Controls on the Flybuds C1 are as follows:

  • Previous Track – Double click left earbud
  • Next Track – Double click right earbud
  • Increase Volume – Press and hold right earbud (while music is playing)
  • Decrease Volume – Press and hold left earbud (while music is playing)

Battery Life

The Tribit FlyBuds C1 earbuds has a battery life up to 12 hours playtime on a single charge. You can extend more around 50 hours of playtime or four more full charges with the charging case.

Charging the earbuds will take you 1.5 hours on the charging case. The charging case on the other hand will take you around 2 hours to have it fully charged using a USB Type-C cable.

The charging case of the Tribit FlyBuds C1 doesn’t have any wireless charging feature.

Sound Quality

I love the audio quality on the Tribit FlyBuds C1 as it actually sounded very good!

I can just play any type of genre music on this device and still get excellent quality as the audio is well-rounded. You can feel that punchy well-controlled bass in your ear as well as the clear vocals or even the high riffs of the guitar as they all sounded rich.

Listening to Warren G Regulate song was awesome as the whole rhythm comprises mostly the bass, you can really feel the sensation of that low thumping bass. If you love alternative songs, the FlyBuds C1 delivers that clear guitar riffs, enhanced vocals, and smooth trebles.

The FlyBuds C1 is equipped with aptX codec support providing that high-quality and high-definition audio files up to CD quality.

The audio quality and battery performance is impressive. Connectivity is stable thanks to the Qualcomm Bluetooth chip that’s built on it. It gets an IPX5 rating making it waterproof so you have no worries if you need to use it during your sports related activities due to sweat.

The FlyBuds C1 doesn’t offer touch control feature but rather used highly-sensitive physical buttons to do the controls. For us it’s much more comfortable than tapping the sides of the earbuds.
