The realme C63 is a durable and affordable smartphone that’s perfect for users who are always on the go. With its weather proof design, it can endure tough conditions while boasting impressive features to keep you connected or whenever you need it for productivity.
After spending over a week with the realme C63, we’re excited to share our experience as we’ll be diving into its key features, benchmark test results, and camera photo samples.
The realme C63 is priced at PHP8,999 now available in all realme stores nationwide and thru its online e-commerce partners on Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop.
Let’s proceed to the full review of the realme C63.

Design and Build Quality
The realme C63 has a slim profile with thickness at 7.74mm and weighs at 189 grams on our Jade Green color variant while on the Leather Blue color is slightly hefty at 191 grams.
The Leather Blue color variant has a premium vegan leather with a nice texture on the back panel which is pleasing to touch and makes it easier to hold. Users who wants a subtle classic look with a premium feel should choose this color.
But if you prefer a more trendsetting color that attracts attention, the Jade Green variant is the better choice. The back panel on this phone adopts a Magic Glowing design, it creates an alluring effect with free-flowing small waves with a nice shimmering effect thanks to the infused millions of glittering particles.

Placed at the top left corner is the camera module which uses realme’s Aluminum Camera Deco design that’s sleek with an anodized silver color and adds to the overall appeal of the phone.
It has three large, circular metal rings of the same size are mounted on top of the camera module in a triangular position and a realme logo placed at the bottom left.

The right-side edge has the volume rockers and power/sleep button which doubles as your fingerprint scanner. The power button also acts as a Dynamic button to launch a few functions quickly either swiping up/down, double tap, double press or press and hold. The functions available are to adjust the volume, digital assistant, sound to vibrate mode etc.

The SIM Card tray is at the left side edge.

A 3.5mm audio port, speaker grille, USB-C port, and microphone are found on the bottom edge while the top edge is completely clean.

Looking at the front of the display, it has thin bezels on the top, both left and right sides except for the bottom which is slightly raised.
A standout feature of the realme C63 is its durability having a weather proof design, it has undergone a range of rigorous testing and has obtained certifications as well. The phone was able to endure more than 320 stringent tests including clicking the power button 500,000 times, even pushing the device to a long-term high temperature and high humidity tests, and more.
The back design has been tested as well for its ability to withstand wear and tear including a denim and eraser abrasion testing.

It also has an IP54 Rating against dust and splashes of water, just don’t let the device submerge under the water.
Users can expect that the realme C63 to be a smooth and fast performing up to 4 years with realme Labs 48-Month Fluency Certification which is the same standard as TÜV Rheinland. If that’s not enough, it also received a realme High Reliability certification that ensures a certain level of durability against accidental drops.

Display
The realme C63 sports a large 6.74-inch HD+ display using an IPS panel with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, and touch sampling rate at 180 Hz. You have larger viewing area for content and games with its 90.3% screen-to-body ratio.
The refresh rate can go up to maximum of 90Hz or settle a 60Hz to conserve more on your battery.
The realme C63 is equipped with dual light sensors placed at the front and main camera allowing the screen to properly dim the display depending on the ambient lighting of the environment.

Peak brightness of 450 nits is good enough for indoor use, while outdoor usage goes up to 560 nits or High Brightness Mode (HBM). The screen at 560 nits is slightly viewable when used under direct sunlight.
The phone’s peak brightness can also go all the way down to 1 Nit of Brightness which is convenient for users needed to use the phone in very dark places.
You can set it on both either manual with the brightness slider or automatically when Auto Brightness is selected on to attain the needed level of brightness.
With the Rainwater Smart Touch feature the phone has touch response despite having a wet display and it also helps prevent unintended touch actions due to the water drops on the screen.

Performance
The realme C63 is powered by a Unisoc T612 octa-core Processor (Two Arm-Cortex A75 Cores 1.82GHz, and six Arm-Cortex A55 Cores 1.8GHz) using a 12nm architecture with maximum clock speeds of 1.82GHz.
The internal storage on the realme C63 offers a hefty 256GB capacity, if you need extra storage space, it can accommodate up to 2TB using a MicroSD card in the SIM card tray.
According to realme, the amount of storage on the phone can accommodate a total of 70 gaming apps at an average of 3GB per app, 860 TV series episodes, 53,760 songs and photos.
It has an 8GB RAM with Dynamic RAM Expansion feature to set the required amount of additonal RAM you need.
The extra RAM will be coming from the phone’s internal storage with three virtual RAM options in 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB.
This can bring a maximum total of 16GB RAM to help boost the device’s performance, run or open apps faster, and even manage to retain more apps that are left running in the background.

Here’s our benchmark test results:
- GeekBench 6 CPU: 415 Single Core / 1495 Multi-Core
- GeekBench 6 GPU: 457
- CPDT: 166.95 MB/s Write, 222.06 MB/s Read
- 3DMark: 424 (2.54 fps)
- PCMark: 7801 Work 3.0 Performance Score

The realme C63 has a 200% UltraBoom speaker to allow users to push the volume beyond the usual 100% limit for extra loudness. This can be helpful for noisy or crowded environments, but please be considerate of others nearby. At normal sound level, the audio is clear and decently loud, though the bass can have some improvement. The sound primarily comes out of the phone’s downward-firing speaker.
The SIM card tray allows users to place two nano SIM cards and extra single microSD card slot for storage expansion.
For biometrics, the phone has a face unlock and fingerprint scanner along with the usual regular screen lock using either swipe, pattern, PIN or password. The face unlock on the realme C63 is fast. However, the fingerprint scanner can be a bit picky at times as it requires a precise placement of your thumb on the button for recognition.

Camera and Photo Samples
Shooting photos and videos with the realme C63 boasts a single lens that comprise a 50MP main camera using a 5P lens with an aperture of f/1.8.
It can record videos with available resolutions of 1080p, 720p and 480p at 30 frames per second.
That small sensor below the main camera isn’t a secondary camera but a flicker sensor. The flicker sensor acts as a light sensor for detecting ambient lighting to improve shots during low light conditions.
Selfies on the front camera is equipped with an 8MP lens found at top center of the display in a U-shaped notch design. It has a 78-degree field of view and an aperture of f/2.0. However, selfie videos can record at a maximum resolution at 720p at 30 frames per second.

The camera app has a simple interface with the functions well-organized. However, the zoom switch is positioned on the right side, which is an unconventional location.
Usually, the zoom switch appears above the shooting modes on the viewfinder display and may require two-handed operation to access the zoom while shooting. Maximum zoom can go up to 10x but you have a 1x and 3x zoom options.
Accessing the shooting modes you get Night, Video, Photo, Portrait, and 50M ready to use. You get five more with Time-Lapse, Pro, Pano, Slo-Mo, and QR Code when you click the more options.
The Portrait mode has a slider to easily adjust the amount of bokeh or depth of field you want on your shots.
On the top edge of the viewfinder, you have access for the flash, HDR, beauty filter, color filter, and settings. There’s also a Google Lens if you need to search what you see in the camera to take a picture, search it online and view the results.
So far, the photos produce decent image quality in good lighting conditions, especially outdoors in direct sunlight. Subjects are captured clearly with rich detail. However, for low-light situations, night mode becomes a valuable tool for reducing noise in images.
Selfies will turn out great with a good lighting which results in clear facial details. As for Portrait shots it has a pleasing bokeh effect and good separation of the subject from the background.

Software
The realme C63 ships in with a more improved and secure realme UI software based on the latest version of Android 14. The realme UI on this phone is a scaled down version from its full software version (realme UI 4.0 and realme UI 5.0) to accommodate primarily for the UNISOC processor built on the phone.
realme promised 3 years software support with 2 major updates on the phone to maintain its peak performance.
The phone has a lot of pre-installed apps aside from Google’s standard app tools and realme’s own apps. It has these following apps – Agoda, Booking.com, Facebook, Fineasy, Fitbit, Lazada, LinkedIn, Netflix, Shopee, Spotify, TikTok and a few games. You can easily uninstall the one’s you don’t use and download the important apps you need.

It comes with the brand’s array of proprietary technology with the real Essentials. The realme C63 comes with the following real Essentials – AI Noise Reduction, Mini Capsule 2.0, Air Gestures, Riding Mode, and AI Boost.

Battery
Powering the realme C63 is a large 5,000mAh battery with support for a 45-watt SUPERVOOC fast-charging technology.
In just 30 minutes, the realme C63’s battery level reached at 40 percent and a full charge from 0 to 100% took only 1 hour and 21 minutes.
The realme C63 also impressed us with its long standby time. After a full charge, we left the phone unused for around six days, and it still had a remarkable 38% battery remaining.
There are battery saving options available thru the battery settings to toggle the ultra saving mode or battery saver to extend battery life.
The realme C63 assures users that the phone’s fast-charging system meets strict safety and performance standards. It obtained the TÜV Rheinland Safe Fast-Charge System Certification as it confidently utilizes fast charging features with less worry knowing your phone can handle it. Therefore, it minimizes the risk of overheating and short circuits including drops and impact as well.
Aside from the said certifications, the phone is also equipped with 38 kinds of safety and fast charging protections which includes some components such as the charger, data cable, charging interface, etc.
Some of these charging technology on the realme C63 is a VCVT Intelligent Tuning Algorithm to automatically adjusts voltage and current for improved charging performance. Conclusion
So far, our hands on experience with the realme C63 is typically good. It’s decent enough to be a reliable daily driver. What makes this phone unique is its enhanced durability with a weather-proof design. You can be sure that the realme C63 can now withstand accidental drops, bumps, water spills, or rain drops that sometimes our devices will experience once in a while.
The display offers excellent viewing quality for various multimedia content plus it’s also complemented by a smooth 90Hz refresh rate for a fluid scrolling when browsing on social media and websites.
As for performance, the phone can do well with everyday tasks effortlessly, from calls and messages to web browsing, social media updates, and music playback. The sound quality is decent, we would suggest to have improvement in the bass department. However, the 200% ultra volume is a big help in noisy environments when using the speakerphone.
Now gaming with well-loved mobile games such as Mobile Legends Bang Bang, Call of Duty Mobile, PUBG Mobile and other casual games on the realme C63 is enjoyable and smooth on its default settings. If you wish to step up the graphics and frame rate, which we did, we encountered some lags and a few hiccups.
Battery life can last you through out the day if you’re a a heavy user but don’t worry as the fast-charging technology of the phone can quickly boot up the battery for you to use the device again.
Given its price point, the realme C63 offers impressive value with the inclusion of a few AI features and new proprietary technology from the brand like noise cancellation, AI boost, and air gestures.
The camera of the realme C63 can produce good-looking images in daylight or bright ambient lighting. In low light situations, we would prefer users to use the night mode and the quality will have less noise. The 50MP mode on the camera app does offer more details on your photos, you may want to try this. What I missed on the camera app is an ultra-wide lens which I hope on the next models they would fit one in it.
If you’re on a tight budget and looking for a phone with a reliable camera, chipsets, battery life, and a smooth display then we would recomment the realme C63.
