The OPPO Pad Neo is priced at PHP15,999 now available in all OPPO concept stores, authorized resellers, and its official online e-commerce partners.

So, let’s check of what the OPPO Pad Neo can offer.

Unboxing

The packaging for the OPPO Pad Neo feels secure and durable made of thick cardboard type material. It presents a clean, minimalist look that’s clad in an all-white colored box with just a few design elements on it.

The front top cover of the box has a nice large metallic chrome foil print along with OPPO branding.

Opening the box, you’ll see the tablet immediately and lifting its upper tray will reveal the other included accessories. You get the following items out of the box.

Design

Our OPPO Pad Neo review unit comes in a Space Grey color which we find a very good color choice for a more professional look and can help in a way hide minor scratches or fingerprint marks.

It weighs 538 grams with overall measurements at 255.12 x 188.04mm x 6.89mm. With these dimensions it makes the OPPO Pad Neo so good to hold, it’s very lightweight and slim as well.

We liked how the tablet features a fine curved corners along with its side edges for that comfortable in-hand feel even in different positions. The frame all-around the tablet is made of metal to add more durability to it.

The OPPO Pad Neo’s back panel offer a nice two-tone design. The large area is finished in a sleek matte metal with an OPPO logo at the center. While the remaining section sports a glossy finish that will definitely attract fingerprints more easily.

A large, ring-design camera lens is placed at the center of the glossy rear panel.

The Pad Neo becomes a stylish and sports a premium looking device with the combination of a matte and glossy finish on the back.

Checking on the button and port layouts of the OPPO Pad Neo, the volume controls and a microphone are found at the right side while the left side is completely clean.

The top edge holds the SIM card tray, power/sleep button, and two speaker grilles.

Another two-speaker grille, a USB-C port, and microphone located at the bottom edge.

The Pad Neo has uniform bezels around the entire screen and a well-centered front-facing camera that keeps you in focus during online meetings and video calls.

Display

Based on the OPPO Pad Neo’s display specifications, we already know it boasts a good set of features.

It has a large 11.4 inch 2.4K display using a LTPS LCD panel with resolutions of 2408×1720 pixels, 180Hz touch sampling rate, 260 PPI, and a maximum refresh rate up to 90Hz.

Although the screen is utilizing an LCD panel, the viewing experience on the Pad Neo is still satisfying with clear images and smooth scrolling.

One standout feature we liked on the Pad Neo is the 7:5 aspect ratio and its 86.4% screen to body ratio.

The aspect ratio on this tablet is much more commendable for web browsing and scrolling your social media post other than the conventional 16:9 aspect ratio which is very wide. Mostly, the new tablets are leaning to this type of aspect ratio size.

Color reproduction on the screen is excellent its vibrant and accurate just perfect for watching any multimedia content. It has a color gamut of 96% NTSC and 1 billion colors for that great color depth.

With a peak brightness of 400 nits, the tablet is well-suited and bright for indoor use, but it struggles slightly when used under direct sunlight.

It has eye comfort feature and certifications receiving the TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display 2.0 and TÜV Rheinland Circadian Friendly.

Hardware

In terms of performance, the OPPO Pad Neo is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99 octa-core processor paired with an ARM Mali G57 MC2 for its GPU.

The internal storage offers a 128GB capacity with UFS 2.2 flash storage for faster write and read speeds. The buil- in storage is enough to cater to your work tasks and different entertainment needs.

It is paired with an 8GB RAM LPDDR4X for enhanced performance and low power efficiency. There’s an option to extend your memory thru its virtual RAM expansion, you can choose from 4GB, 6GB or 8GB RAM.

The tablet’s impressive specs we’ve mentioned just translate to a buttery smooth user experience. During my testing, I never encountered any lags from hours of YouTube videos, updating my social media accounts, browsing the web and even writing half of this review – all without a single hitch.

The quad-speaker system delivers surprisingly good audio. Vocals are clear, and the speakers get impressively loud when maxed out. I think having the 8cc sound cavity design likely helps out its enhanced audio quality.

It also has Dolby Atmos for a better listening experience when you used your earphones.

The OPPO Pad Neo ensures you stay connected with the inclusion of installing a nano-SIM card which provides internet access when your outside of your office or home.

Camera

If you need to take photos or videos, the OPPO Pad Neo offers decent camera specifications.

On both the rear and front-facing cameras it is equipped with an 8MP lens with an aperture of f/2.0. The field of view is nearly identical: the rear camera has a 78-degree field of view, while the front camera is just a slight wider at 78.2 degrees.

For videos, both cameras can record at 1080p and 720p at 30fps. The rear camera also supports EIS stabilization.

No matter how you hold the tablet in either horizontal or vertical position, the camera app is easy to use with all functions are well-organized and conveniently positioned on the right and left sides for easy access with your thumbs.

ou have three shooting modes ready to use with Video, Photo and Selfie. If you click on the more options, it will provide users an extra set of shooting modes with Pano, Time-Lapse, Sticker, and Text Scanner.

Overall, the camera quality is quite decent, especially the front camera, which is ideal for online meetings or video calls.

Software

Out of the box, the OPPO Pad Neo runs on Android 13 with OPPO’s proprietary ColorOS software version 13.2.

It has less bloatware or any pre-installed apps on the tablet which lets you have the freedom to download what you need only. Some of the apps that comes pre-installed are Google tools, Netflix, WPS office and OPPO’s own proprietary apps.

You can change the wallpaper, colors, font, icons and even the shape of the icons if you want some customization on these areas.

The OPPO Pad Neo offers intuitive gestures for added efficiency with a two-finger swipe for split-screen multitasking and a three-finger swipe for instant screenshots.

Multitasking is much easier as you can drag apps from the taskbar for instant split-screen mode and access recent files for quick editing or sharing.

Battery

Powering the OPPO Pad Neo is a massive 8000mAh battery and to quickly recharge it again once depleted, its support a 33W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology.

The charging capability is quite impressive, an initial 15 minutes charge elevated the battery level to 16% then after 30 minutes went up to 46%.

The Pad Neo was able to restore the battery to full level by 1 hour and 39 minutes from 0 to 100%.

Despite putting the tablet through several tasks like watching YouTube videos, emails, posting press releases on our website, updating our social media, and even some gaming, it held up admirably, lasting until the afternoon.

The 33W SUPERVOOC fast charging feature provides convenience that helps users ensures a quick replenish on their tablet’s battery so you can use the device again.

Conclusion

The general design of the Pad Neo looks great. The ergonomics, weight, and slim form factor of the tablet has a comfortable in-hand feel even if you hold the tablet longer.

Its outstanding display not only enhances the user viewing experience but able to use the power of the Helio G99 processor and software, making it an appealing choice for avid gamers or first-time work professionals.

Now paired with its SUPERVOOC fast-charging technology, it can replenish the battery to full capacity in an instant.

Overall, the OPPO Pad Neo is as a versatile tablet suited for a wide range of users. Its impressive set of feature caters to multitaskers who juggle work and personal entertainment, making it a great choice for both productivity and home use.
