Two years ago we have the opportunity to review the Joyroom JR-T04S which performed good sound quality, reliable and seamless connectivity during our tests.
Now we have the limited edition Joyroom JR-T04S Pro TWS earbuds that offers a wireless charging feature and it comes along with a 15W wireless charging pad that retails for PHP1,990 only from its original suggested retail price of PHP2,990. The JR-T04S Pro is now available on Digital Walker stores nationwide, www.digitalwalker.ph online and its e-commerce partners like Shopee and Lazada.
For those who are not familiar with the company, Joyroom is a well-known brand worldwide located in Shenzhen China focusing on high-end accessories, mobile phone accessories, functional electronic products and more.
So let’s get to know more of these new TWS earphones.
Contents and Build Quality
Inside the box you have the device itself the JR-T04S Pro earbuds, Charging Case, Silicone Case, Charging Cable, Mini Lock Hook, Manuals and now they are including a 15W Wireless Charging Pad as well.
The JR-T04S Pro charging case and earbuds comes in a nice dark blue color for our review unit, but they also have an available white color option. Both devices have an ergonomic design and made from sturdy ABS material which has high tensile strength that’s ready to withstand heavy use, minor impacts and adverse environmental conditions.
The JR-T04S Pro are also IPX5 waterproof so you don’t have any worries on daily use or your workout that can handle sweat or a run in the rain without being damaged.
The charging case has an indicator light, Joyroom logo and access to open the cover lid on the front while located below is the USB Type-C charging port. The wireless charging feature is located on the back of the case. On both earbuds you have the speakers, touch area or multifunction button, charging pin and mic.
Good thing they added a silicone case and a mini metal lock hook so you can further protect your charging case away from wet, dirt and dust plus carry it with you anywhere you go.

Operating, Pairing and Connecting
Just like any other TWS earphone, the JR-T04S Pro easily connects to any device thanks to its Bluetooth 5.0 with low power consumption and stable connection.
To pair, open the top cover of the charging case and the earbuds will turn on automatically. Then open the Bluetooth function of your device (mobile phone, tablet, laptop etc.) to search for the device name of “JR-T04S Pro” and just click to connect.
Single earphone mode is possible by just taking the left or right earbud out arbitrarily to use the single earphone mode after you connect to the device Bluetooth function. You can listen to music, watch videos, or make a call with using a single earphone normally.
Here are the operating functions on the JR-T04S Pro
- Power On: Automatically Turn on when you open the charging case
- Power Off 1: Turn off automatically once you put back the earbuds back to the charging case and clos the cover.
- Power Off 2: Long press left/right touch area of the earbuds for 8 seconds.
- Power Off 3: Automatically turns off without connecting for 3 minutes.
- Play/Pause: One tap on the touch area on either side.
- Previous: Double tap on the touch area of left earbuds (You’ll hear a prompt tone).
- Next: Double tap on the touch are of right earbuds (You’ll hear a prompt tone).
- Answer Call/Hang Up: Tap on the touch area of any of either earbuds
- Reject Calls: Long press the touch area of either earbuds for 2 seconds (You’ll hear a prompt tone).
- Voice Assistant: Long press touch area of either earbuds for 2 seconds.
Battery and Charging Wirelessly
Battery capacity on the JR-T04S Pro earbuds offers a 30mAh while on the charging case you have 400mAh. While charging time for the earphone is about 1 hour and 1.5 hour on the charging case. Battery life usage on the earphones can get you up to 3.5 hours of music time and call time.
I was able to use the JR-T04S Pro on my 15-inch Macbook Pro Touchbar
Indicator light status on the charging case are as follows:
- Green light keeps on – 100% to 52% battery capacity
- White light keeps on – 52% to 13% battery capacity
- White light flashing – lower than 13% battery capacity
To juice up the charging case you either use the available USB Type-C port or the convenient 15W wireless charging pad.
To charge using the wireless charging pad all you need to do is simply place the wireless charging receiving end found on the back of the charging case in the center of the pad. During charging a white indicator light will turn on and it will turn off once it has fully charged the case. The wireless charging pad emits a nice blue light all around its sides which is kinda cool especially in the room when the lights are turned off.

Sound Quality and Initial Impressions
Our experience in terms of the sound quality on the JR-T04S Pro did a remarkable performance. Even if the 13mm speaker has a built-in small driver, yet they produce sound quality that can match with other brands.
We can hear the presence of the bass that’s good enough to give out that deep thumping beat. The tone of the artist voice is well-defined and I even love the clear guitar riffs and solo of what I’m hearing from these earbuds.
So far the JR-T04S Pro did pretty well on any thing you can use it from listening to music, playing online games, watching videos and even your personal calls.
Putting on the earbuds for the first time felt like it will slip out of my ears thinking that it will not hold on there. I realize that it might have to do with the plastic material and its glossy finish. But in the end this half in-ear device just remained in my ear for the rest of the review even as I walked to the kitchen to get coffee or lay down on my bed for a while.
The touch control on the JR-T04S Pro is impressive and responsive also as I keep on tapping to go to the next music or pause for a while. One thing that’s missing on the touch control features is the ability to increase or decrease your volume. In case the earbuds turned off automatically and you need to use them again. You may have to put it back to the charging case again to turn it on then reconnect to your device. But if these small issues are not a big deal for you then we recommend these earbuds for you.
What I liked on the JR-T04S is the inclusion of a 15W wireless charging pad in this package. It’s easy to charge and convenient without the hassle of getting your charging cable or adapter then plugging it. Plus, the charging pad is very useful if you have a smartphone or device with a wireless charging feature just like my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
Overall, the Joyroom JR-T04S Pro with an affordable price of PHP1,990 offers an amazing set of features and comes with some additional accessories unlike other TWS earphone brands in the market today. The JR-T04S Pro is lightweight, a comfortable half in-ear model, boasts the best quality sound, responsive touch controls, wireless charging and IPX5 waterproof device.
