GCash together with Uniprom, Inc. (the operators of Gateway Cineplex, Ali Mall Cineplex, and Snaxx) announced its strategic partnership to provide moviegoers and snack lovers a much more convenient way of going to the movies as it accepts GCash QR as a payment method.
GCash is a mobile phone app – available for Android and iPhone users – that lets customers pay with their smartphones by just scanning a GCash QR code located at Gateway and Ali Mall Cineplex counters.
To celebrate this partnership, GCash treated moviegoers to a block screening premier of “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald”. So catch your favorite movies and pair them with your favorite snacks with GCash!
“Aside from using your GCash App to book for your movie tickets, you can now use the GCash scan-to-pay feature to buy your tickets and snacks in both Gateway and Ali Mall – letting you experience the advantage of a seamless, cashless transaction,” said Anthony Thomas, Mynt President and CEO. “The convenience is just like magic,” he added. Mynt is the operating company of GCash.
Getting a GCash account is easy. Users from all networks can download the GCash App for free from the App Store or from Google Play and sign up for an account.
To fund their GCash account, a user can visit over 16,000 GCash Partner Outlets nationwide, like 7-Eleven, SM Business Centers, Robinsons Business Centers, Puregold branches, and Villarica Pawnshop branches, and tell the cashier to cash-in to their GCash account. Cashing-in to a GCash account is free.
