M Lhuillier Swiftly Delivers Aid to Fire Victims in Luzon and Mindanao

For M Lhuillier, being of service to the Filipino people is more than just offering reliable financial services. The country’s leading non-bank financial institution continues to go above and beyond by creating a whole new meaning to its mantra of being the Tulay ng PaMLyang Pilipino.

M Lhuillier doesn’t just connect Filipino families through its fast and convenient services like Kwarta Padala, Quick Cash Loans, ML Wallet, and ML Moves, but it also reaches out to those who have gone through the toughest of times through its swift relief operations.

No matter where they are in the Philippines–from urban cities to remote barangays–M Lhuillier, through its dependable employees, will be there to deliver much-needed aid.

They proved this commitment once again with multiple relief operations for fire victims in Luzon and Mindanao.

The M Lhuillier team headed to Barangay Wawa, Batangas City to deliver aid to 232 families who were affected by the huge fire that hit the area last January 20, 2022. The fire victims, who were temporarily sheltered at Wawa Elementary School, were given sacks of rice, grocery packs, shirts, towels, and bags. The employees and officers who were part of the outreach program hoped that the relief packs would help the families as they try to bounce back from this unexpected tragedy.

Just a month later, staff members and officers from M Lhuillier Southern Luzon headed to Barangay 24, Cavite City to help out 35 families who lost their homes due to a fire incident. The group assembled at the evacuation area in Ovidio Elementary School to distribute sacks of rice, grocery packs, bottles of water, hygiene kits, kitchen utensils, homeware, and old clothes.

On February 25, M Lhuillier, together with the International Order of Free Gardeners (IOFG), organized a joint relief operation in Zamboanga City to help the victims of a huge fire that affected residents of Summer Hill, San Roque.

According to records by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), around 523 families or more than 2,400 individuals were temporarily sheltered at Talungun San Roque covered court.

In coordination with barangay officials and the CSWDO, M Lhuillier distributed sacks of rice, groceries, and shirts to the evacuees.

These are just a few of the numerous community service projects that M Lhuillier and its employees have organized over the years–and will organize in the years to come.
