The COVID-19 pandemic has been affecting the lives of a lot of people since it started in 2020. It has not only changed the way we go on with our daily lives, but it also affected our livelihoods. Along with those changes are added expenses like face masks and hygiene kits to help keep us protected from the deadly virus.
But with limited income sources during this crisis, this is an added dilemma for the average Filipino. To help Filipino families during these trying times, M Lhuillier Financial Services has been launching various community initiatives and donations in line with its commitment to being the Tulay ng PaMLyang Pilipino.
One of these initiatives is the COVID-19 Alert project organized by M Lhuillier representatives from the OPEC Panay Hugyaw Team.
Last April 20, they went around Barangay Poblacion and Barangay Tabugon in Dingle, Iloilo to distribute face masks and hygiene kits to locals. Most of the recipients were tricycle drivers and market vendors, who risk their health on a daily basis just to provide for their families.
According to OPEC President Rolex Sinon, this donation project is their way of helping the community they are serving so people can keep safe and protect their health from the disease that has been affecting our world.
