Smart subscribers who flocked to the Philippine Arena in Bulacan last Saturday night for the much-anticipated Stray Kids concert enjoyed quite an advantage as Smart 5G posted the fastest download and upload speeds inside the world’s largest indoor arena.
Based on Ookla Speedtest results taken at 8:50 p.m. of Nov. 23, Saturday inside the concert venue, Smart 5G led with download speeds of up to 257 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 54.7 Mbps, enabling Smart users to stay connected online, access their go-to apps, and share their favorite concert moments in real time.
It can be recalled that Smart teamed up with its technology partners Huawei and Ericsson last year to expand and permanently optimize its LTE and 5G mobile network coverage in the country’s major event venues, such as the Philippine Arena, Smart-Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, and the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City to provide Filipinos with a world-class mobile experience.
