LG Electronics Philippines finally unveiled the LG G7 ThinQ, its new flagship premium smartphone during its exclusive launch event held at trendy bar and lounge Yes, Please located at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. The LG G7 ThinQ will have a suggested retail price of Php 42,990 and will be available in all LG concept stores and authorized resellers nationwide.
LG got the hottest K-pop boy band BTS to be the brand ambassador of the LG G7 ThinQ, they are also appearing with a series of TV advertisement for the flagship smartphone. BTS has a huge fan-based following especially the millenials, they have been named by Time Magazine as one of the 25 most influential people for 2017, first to win as Top Social Artist at the Billboard Music Awards, and the first to perform at the prestigious American Music Awards.

Display and performance
The LG G7 ThinQ comes with a Super Bright 6.1-inch QHD+ FullVision display at 3120 x 1440 pixels and it is brighter than any other mobile phone screen that we’ve seen. It is powered by a 2.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octa-core Processor, 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage with a MicroSD that is expandable up to 2TB.
Battery
The phone powers up with a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery via its USB Type C port with features such as Quick Charge 3.0 and Qi Wireless Charging.
Camera
Both camera on the rear has a 16MP sensors with its dual rear camera offering a f1.6 lens for its low-light sensor and with a wide-angle shooting capabilities. The front facing camera spots a 8MP camera at f1.9 aperture.
Present during the launch is gadget website Yugatech’s founder, Abe Olandres, to explain how the G7 ThinQ’s AI-powered features can provide beneficial advantages to everyday life. With the AI CAM, it helps deliver an unprecedented smartphone photography experience by recognizing an object and automatically adjusting settings according to what it sees plus it has 19 different color and contrast filters to help enhance results.
LG commissioned a short video from director Mikhail Red, whose latest film Birdshot won the Asian Future Best Film Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival, and was the first Filipino full-feature film to be included in Netflix’s inventory. The video not only demonstrates Mikhael’s skill and dexterity as a director and photographer, but showcases how the LG G7 ThinQ’s camera delivers a higher range of details, more vivid colors and striking luminance when capturing both moving and still subjects.

Google Assistant and Voice Recognition
The LG G7 ThinQ added a Hotkey, a button on the side of the phone that activates Google Assistant with one tap. Holding down the button will allow for instant conversations with Google Assistant, and will allow the user to search the internet, open applications and remotely use the phone on voice command (LG has worked with Google to come up 32 new Google Assistant commands). The G7 ThinQ also sports Super Far Field Voice Recognition, which allows it to hear commands for Google Assistant up to five meters away.
Boombox
The flagship smartphone has a Boombox Speaker that increases the base sound level by more than 6dB with twice the amount of bass. Translated in layman terms, the LG G7 ThinQ packs more than 10 times the loudness than that of a typical smartphone.
