HONOR X5 Plus (4GB+64GB) – Unboxing and First Look

This coming September 26, HONOR Philippines is set to launch three new models after the success of the HONOR 90 5G.

The new HONOR smartphones to arrive on September 26 are the HONOR 90 Lite, HONOR X5 Plus, and HONOR X6a. You can watch the livestream event on HONOR’s official Facebook page.

In the meantime, we have the HONOR X5 Plus to unbox and take a first look of the brand’s latest addition to its iconic X series models. The phone offers a competitive specs at a very good price point.

Unboxing

The packaging box for the HONOR X5 Plus is elegantly minimalist, featuring an all-white design crafted from sturdy cardboard-like material.

The top cover of the box displays a printed image of the X5 Plus, unmistakably accompanied by the HONOR logo. Additionally, you’ll find a sticker affixed to one side of the box, bearing essential information like the IMEI, company details, certification marks, and key specifications for the unit.

Upon opening the top cover of the box, the phone greets you first, followed by a compartment box underneath that houses some of the included accessories.

Taking everything out of the box, you’ll receive the following items:

For now, here’s what you should know

The HONOR X5 Plus features a large 6.56-inch IPS display equipped with a 90Hz refresh rate, enhancing the smoothness and fluidity of your interactions while navigating menus, web pages, and apps on the phone.

Running on a 12-nanometer MediaTek G36 octa-core processor that offers a robust chipset configuration ideal for gaming, entertainment, and academic tasks. It comes paired with 4GB of RAM, a spacious 128GB internal storage, and a robust 5200mAh battery.

The X5 Plus features a dual-camera system, which includes a 50MP primary lens and a 2MP depth camera, capable of delivering high-quality photos in various shooting conditions. For your selfie needs, there’s a 5MP front-facing camera.

The HONOR X5 Plus arrives with Google services and applications pre-installed, simplifying access to the extensive suite of Google apps and services without the need for additional configuration or limitations. This ensures a familiar and feature-rich Android experience for users.
