Globe Fintech Innovations, Inc. (Mynt) operators of GCash has partnered with Puregold to bring in a new technology from the mobile app company. GCash loyal users and Puregold customers can now cash-in or cashless payment using the GCash Barcode at selected Puregold stores nationwide.
The new partnership between GCash and Puregold will be the the first companies to offer both cash-in and cashless payments rolled into one to make their customers feel a complete ultimate experience in a store.
Present during the press launch are key executives Ernest L. Cu, president and chief executive officer of Globe Telecom, Inc.; Vincent Co, president, Puregold and JM Aujero, VP for Merchant Solutions and Sales and Frederic Levy, GCash Chief Commercial Officer last September 10 in Taguig City.
Doing the cash-in is just simple, you visit any Puregold store with a GCash enabled lanes located at the cashier counter. You put the amount you want to cash-in through the GCash app then it will generate a barcode. Scan the barcode at the payment counter, give your cash and it’s done! The GCash Barcode can also be used as payment if you need to purchase anything from Puregold.
Puregold Price Club, Inc. was incorporated on September 8, 1998 and opened its first Puregold hypermarket store in Mandaluyong City in December of the same year. By the end of 2018, Puregold has now 408 stores nationwide that covers 354 Puregold stores, 16 S&R membership shopping warehouses and 39 S&R New York Style quick-service restaurants.
GCash is a mobile app which transforms your phone into a digital wallet, allowing users to do discounted prepaid load top-ups, bills payment, QR payments, bank and money transfers, online shopping, and others.
Getting a GCash account is easy, customers just simply download the GCash App for free from the App Store or from Google Play and sign up for an account.
