GCash, Maya, credit/debit cards now available at PhilHealth’s Electronic Premium Remittance System (EPRS) powered by MyEG Philippines

GCash, Maya, credit/debit cards now available at PhilHealth’s Electronic Premium Remittance System (EPRS) powered by MyEG Philippines

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHILHEALTH), in partnership with MyEG PHILIPPINES, INC. (MyEG PH), a market leader in electronic solutions championing government services online automation both in the Philippines and in Malaysia and a leading e-payment processing provider with 90,000 payment channels nationwide, has made it easier, safer, and more convenient for micro-employers, small business owners, and entrepreneurs to remit their employees’ health insurance contributions online with the addition of GCash, Maya, and credit/debit cards as payment options on its Electronic Payment Remittance System (EPRS).

As we add more payment options on the EPRS, we hope to encourage more businesses and employers to do their transactions online as it is easier, safer, more convenient, and hassle-free. This is just among the many initiatives under PhilHealth’s ongoing digital transformation aimed at further improving the ease of doing business in the country,” said Atty. Eli Dino Santos, OIC-PCEO of PhilHealth.

MyEG Philippines CEO Ann Margaret Saldaña said, “MYEG Philippines has been a partner of PhilHealth for more than one (1) year through their Member’s Portal and now we are providing a more convenient and hassle-free experience adding more online payment channels to the micro and small businesses through its Electronic Payment Remittance System (EPRS). MYEG has been committed in developing technology solutions so Filipinos can experience quick and transparent government service”.

Employers may access the PhilHealth EPRS by logging in at https://eprs01.philhealth.gov.ph. To proceed, users shall choose which Statement of Premium Accounts (SPA) to pay, select their preferred payment option and pay. After every successful payment, a payment confirmation email will instantly be sent to the employer.

This initiative of PhilHealth and MYEG Philippines supports Republic Act No. 11032, also known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act, and former President Rodrigo Duterte’s Executive Order No. 170. These issuances mandate all government departments and agencies to adopt a digital payment system for government disbursements and collections to promote efficient delivery of services, expedite transactions, boost revenue and reduce risk of graft and corruption.

In 2021, PhilHealth activated its acceptance of online payment on its Member Portal, allowing Self-Earning Individuals to pay for their contributions using GCash, Maya, and Credit/Debit Cards.
