Pearl Perlada, Marketing Head of Growth Brands at Abenson, reveals the company’s intention to transform it into an experiential retail store. “Electroworld have been in the business since the 80’s, but we’ve noticed through the decades the different needs of our customers and now, it needs to be experiential for them. They need to experience the gadgets and its latest technology first before they purchase it. It is also very important they knew what they are trying to buy. So, what fits our customer needs is what we are trying to meet. We are trying to sell solutions and we’re not just trying to sell the products but, we are selling solutions that is really fitted for the customers needs. So, that’s the reason why we decided Electroworld to be an experiential store. It’s also based on a study we got that people after the pandemic wants to touch, feel and try the product.”

Webrooming Service

Offered at the Electroworld store is a webrooming service where customers can search, order, and check the availability of a product they want on a large LED TV wall display. They can pay the item at the store and have it delivered to their preferred address.

Despite other tech brands having their own experential stores where customers can personally try and see their products. Perlada also shares that Electroworld holds an advantage from these stores by offering customers a wide range of payment options, financing partners, reward points, and exclusive premium freebies such as smart appliances, furniture, and more.

“We know that our brand partners have their own concept stores, but Electroworld’s edge lies in our payment options with bank tie-ups and partnerships that offer flexible payment options or exclusive freebies. For example, customers who purchase using their Metrobank or BPI credit cards can get a free smart appliance. We also have many financing partners like Home Credit, SkyGo, AEON, and more. We have a lot of the best payment options, plus we are a trusted tech brand.”

Sony’s array of headphones and speakers can be tested to check out the sound quality

During the store’s launch event, American brand Cricut has a demo booth showcasing its smart cutting plotters designed for home crafters. The machines are used for cutting paper, felt, vinyl, fabric and other materials such as leather, matboard, and wood.

Perlada also added that customers can inquire and order using Electroworld’s Viber group account. “We also offer online ordering and various channels for our Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) customers through Tech Padala. This service allows you to order a laptop for your child’s school or a new smartphone for your grandmother via our online store or Viber account with our personal shoppers. You can then choose to have it delivered to your loved ones or for them to pick it up at their preferred Electroworld store.”

Electroworld has upgraded its business further to be a highly competitive retail store.
