Colinas Verdes Hospital Managers Corporation, operator of Cardinal Santos Medical Center and the Nagkakaisa na mga Manggagawa ng Cardinal Santos Medical Center signs a new Collective Bargaining Agreement that will be effective from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2025.  In photo, from L to R: Representing the Kasangga-CSMC Union – Ms Felina Cordero, Vice President and Mr Dino Babasa, President; Mr Raul Pagdanganan, President & CEO, Ms Maria Louzel Diaz-Tiozon, Vice President & Head of Human Resources and Ms Marivic Mabuti, Vice President & CFO representing Cardinal Santos Medical Center

The new CBA will be effective for five years from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2025 covering the terms and conditions of employment of over 700 rank and file employees of the hospital. The agreement includes enhancements in salaries and benefits applicable in the next three years.

This year’s CBA negotiation was concluded in the first meeting between CVHMC and Kasangga-CSMC last November 3, 2020. This sets precedence as the negotiations were finalized in one day.

The negotiation ran smoothly owing to the CMSC management and the Kasangga-CSMC’s aligned interest in ensuring first that the hospital is viable and is on sound financial standing as it recovers from the effect of the pandemic.

With this development, Pagdanganan looks forward to a brighter future for Cardinal Santos Medical Center “Our CBA discussions were characterized by openness, mutual respect, objectivity and professionalism. This will allow us to focus our efforts towards recovery as we continue to innovate and make our services accessible and responsive to more Filipinos.”
