Caltex announces its latest campaign entitled: World Record-Breaking Fuel, collaborating with a two-part series on National Geographic’s Record Rides to demonstrate how a world-class fuel could power record-breaking feats. The automotive reality entertainment series pits adrenaline junkie and radio DJ, KC Montero, against Jamaican-Chinese professional rally race car driver, Natasha Chang, to break new grounds: the fastest ascent of Doi Chang Mountain Road using an everyday car boosted with Caltex with Techron fuel.
Guinness World Records’ long standing 63-year history and credibility made them the obvious partner to demonstrate how a world-class fuel could power record-breaking feats.
“Caltex partnered with Guinness World Records and set a timing of 6 minutes 52.692 seconds with Natasha achieving the coveted title the fastest ascent of Doi Chang Mountain Road by using a 28-year old car,” added Brian Fisher, Caltex Brand Manager.
To perform at maximized power, an engine requires unrestricted air and fuel delivery which cannot happen when deposits are on the intake valves and port fuel injectors. Techron®’s unique chemistry is proven to remove and protect an engine from deposits in these critical areas. Caltex with Techron® also contains Clean & Glide technology, which further helps to reduce friction, helping maximize power.
The campaign rolls out in Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, and Hong Kong from July to October 2019.
