
BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility sold 4,780 BYD passenger vehicles, capturing an 82% share of the Philippine NEV market in 2024.
Of these, 2,078 units included the BYD Seagull, Dolphin, Atto 3, T3, Seal, Han, and Tang, securing 69% of the BEV segment and making BYD the country’s top-selling battery-electric vehicle brand. The BYD Sealion 6 DM-i led sales with 2,669 units, dominating the NEV and HEV segments with a 19% market share from July to December 2024.
BYD’s 8,900% growth in 2024 ranked it 11th in total car sales in the Philippines with a 1.0% market share, surpassing several established brands. Globally, BYD set a new record, selling 4,272,145 NEVs, a 41.26% increase from 2023, cementing its position as the Global NEV Sales Champion.
Top-Selling Models in 2024
The BYD Sealion 6 DM-i secured 14.6% of the Compact-SUV market and 25.9% from July to December.
The BYD Atto 3 dominated the subcompact BEV crossover segment, selling 1,062 units with a 35% market share.
The BYD Seagull, launched in September, sold 411 units, capturing 38% of Q4’s BEV segment and 14% of the annual BEV market.
These milestones reflect Filipinos’ growing shift toward sustainable mobility.
BYD Expands Dealerships Nationwide
BYD grew from 2 to 25 dealerships in 2024 and has approved 52 new dealer locations for 2025.
