Suzuki’s all-time popular family multipurpose vehicle (MPV) the Ertiga gained a 30 percent share of sales last year that captured the hearts of many Filipino fans. With this impressive achievement, Suzuki Philippines starts this year strong as they finally unveiled a new, elegant and enhanced version of its well-loved MPV with the all-new 2019 Suzuki Ertiga.
The official launch was held at the Marriott Hotel Manila in Pasay City with the motoring media, dealers, bank partners and Club Ertiga representatives were the first ones to lay eyes on the new Ertiga. Suzuki key representatives present during the event are Mr. Hiroshi Suzuki, President, Suzuki Philippines; Norminio Mojica, Managing Director and Treasurer, Suzuki Philippines; Keiichi Suzuki, SPH Director and Automobile Division General Manager; and with its special guest Satoshi Kasahara, Ertiga Chief Engineer, Suzuki Motor Corporation.
Strong and elegant design
The all-new Ertiga features a taller nose and a wide and elegant front grille and with a more stylish side view. The integrated lower grille and fog lamps add a sense of stability and deeper curves on the side and shoulder and character lines were added to reflect robustness and a stronger presence. With electric foldable side mirror, 15-inch alloy wheel, stylish headlamp and LED rear combination lamp.
The interior of the all-new Ertiga has a new steering wheel that has a flat bottom for better leg clearance while the gauges are painted with metallic chrome for a sleeker look. The seats have a deep curb with the fabric showing a 3D effect. The audio system supports a 10-inch capacitive touchscreen that can play your multimedia files, off-line navigation system and a Bluetooth connectivity for your smartphone.
The new MPV now measures with a length of 4,395mm, 1,735mm width, 1,690mm height and a wheelbase of 2,740mm.
Performance and safety
It now comes in a light yet highly rigid body with the introduction of its new generation platform, the HEARTECT. The new frame effectively disperses impact energy to improve safety while reducing noise and vibration. With the Total Effective Control Technology (TECT), which scatters collision energy across the vehicle frame to mitigate damage to the car and passengers.
Plus, they added door open stoppers to prevent the doors from opening too far at one of the three angles and a built-in spring to close it with less effort.

Superior riding comfort
It offers new comfort features larger passenger legroom with the increased tandem distance of the 3rd row seats. While the third row has more headspace while the seats are designed with a reclining and tilt-down mechanism up to 16 degrees for added relaxation.
A rear AC was installed to keep the 2nd and 3rd row passenger comfortable to have better ventilation and convenience. Small storage spaces are also added all around, including a coin holder, ventilated cup holder, improved center console and door pockets.
Available Colors and Pricing
Prices for the all-new Ertiga starts with its base model the GA at Php 728,000, GL MT Php 848,000, GL AT Php 888,000 and GLX at 978,000. The Ertiga has seven colors to choose from: Pearl Glorious Brown, Metallic Magma Gray , Pearl Burgundy Red, Prime Cool Black, Metallic Silky Silver, Pearl Radiant Red and Pearl Snow White.
